Different Types Of Washing Machines
The world has come a long way from being limited to a certain village, region or even nation. Similarly, it has also changed drastically with respect to the dependence of people on any one thing. The time of monopolies is virtually dead as mankind gears up for greater competition. The changing times have also had a significant impact on the washing machine industry. From the time when people used hand operated washing machines, now there are different types of washing machines let alone manufacturers. The obvious question here would be ‘how many different types of washing machines are there?’ Washing machines can be categorized in three different ways. The following are those ways and the subsequent categories.
1. The Three Automation Levels:
This notion reflects the specific level of automation the washing machine maintains. Three categories are available under this category heading.
a. Manual:
These are washing machines of the olden times that require the operator to set basic characteristics of that particular wash routine with respect to the wash cycle, load level, detergent amount, water quantity etc.
b. Semi automatic:
These are washing machines that perform set routines and even have certain sensors. However, these machines do require the involvement of the operator because they consist of two barrels, one for washing and rinsing and the second for drying.
c. Automatic:
Consider this a new age machine which looks to totally remove human involvement out of the entire washing process. The only thing an operator needs to do is load the machine and then start it. The operator does not need to do anything else after this.
2. Technology:
The technology associated with the washing machine has long since been evolving and improving since its original invention. The modern automatic washing machine can integrate hi-tech technology designed to anticipate all manner of problems with the load. The way it does this is as if it had special insight! There is also fuzzy logic and the neuro fuzzy control added to the design which makes the washing machine even more effective.
3. Loading mechanism components:
The loading mechanism can be considered the easiest way to differentiate between different models of washing machines. There are two basic types of washing machines that fall under this criterion. They would be a top loader and a front loader. As newfound research shows, the front loader is known to be more energy efficient than is the top loader version.
The above mentioned the three primary criteria are designed to present differentiation between washing machines. Yet, many more criteria can be effectively used. An example of this would be the washing machines’ environmental friendliness. Also, be mindful that a purchase of washing machines needs to take these categories into consideration. Why? Basically, the type of machines you purchase will dictate purchasing certain Washing Machine Spares. Knowing the availability of Washing Machine Spare Parts is important. It is only a matter of time before the washing machine requires a spare part of one sort or another. As such, Washing Machine Spare Parts intended for advanced automatic technology can be reasonably expected to last a much longer time than those found in older machines. The older ones are known for semi automatic operations.
